Smt. Kishoritai Bhoyar College of Pharmacy (SKBCOP), Kamptee, was established in 1997-98 with the primary objective of nurturing pharmaceutical education and healthcare system by producing highly skilled pharmacy graduates. Our institution offers a comprehensive range of programs, including a Two year Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) four-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm), two-year postgraduate programs (M. Pharm) in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, Industrial Pharmacy, and a Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. We take pride in our permanent affiliation with RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur, and approvals from prestigious bodies such as the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, recognition from Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai, Maharashtra & Maharashtra State Government.

Our campus boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, modernized laboratories, cutting-edge instruments, an expansive library, residential hostels, transportation facilities, and a green, environmentally-friendly campus. We prioritize the teaching-learning process and continually evaluate it to ensure the effective propagation of knowledge and skills. Over the past six years, SKBCOP Kamptee has consistently earned high ranks among top 100 Pharmacy Colleges in India in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (Ministry of Education), Government of India. In recognition of our commitment to excellence, we were honored with the prestigious AICTE LILAVATI Award-2021 in the Women's category. Furthermore, our institution holds an "A" grade CGPA 3.19 accreditation by NAAC (2018-2023) and has been Re-accredited by NBA (2022-2025). We have maintained our position in the platinum category in the AICTE-CII survey for industry-institute interaction for the last five years.
Our master's curriculum places significant emphasis on both basic and applied research in areas such as neuropharmacology, drug delivery and targeting, drug analysis, validation, and quality assurance. We actively engage in collaborative research projects and consultancy activities with numerous academic institutions and pharmaceutical industries in the region. We have meticulously crafted guidelines for the seamless implementation of research projects funded by government agencies and those undertaken in collaboration with pharmaceutical industries. Our institution has secured grants for six research projects with a total outlay of nearly 250 lakhs from esteemed government funding agencies, including SERB DST, ICMR, and AICTE New Delhi. Our faculty members have 8 Indian patents granted and published several research papers and review article in national and international journals with high cumulative impact factors and citation index.
In addition to the curriculum offered by RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur, SKBCOP actively enriches the co-curricular aspects of education through in-house projects, training, workshops, industrial visits, educational tours, and hospital visits. We meticulously plan and display academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities before each academic year commences. We conduct induction programs to familiarize students with the institute's operations. Course objectives and outcomes are clearly defined, course plans and schedules are readily available, and all academic activities are continuously monitored. We cater to the diverse learning needs of our students, including slow learners and advanced learners, by providing tutorial teaching, remedial classes, and add-on courses. The teaching-learning process at our institution is student-centric, incorporating various strategies such as information and computer technology-enabled teaching and learning, interactive learning, collaborative learning, learning beyond the syllabus, problem-based learning, and self-directed learning. We actively encourage learning beyond the syllabus through a variety of co-curricular activities, including seminars, workshops, training, field visits, in-house projects, and industry-based collaborative projects. Our central instrument facility and pilot plant are available for students to gain hands-on training and support research activities related to drug discovery processes.
Our institution maintains excellent infrastructural facilities and pedagogical standards that are consistently upgraded to meet the evolving needs of higher education and regulatory requirements set by AICTE, PCI, and the University. Our classrooms are equipped with multimedia digital boards and audio-visual equipment to facilitate effective teaching and learning. Faculty and administrative staff have been provided with individual cabins equipped with computers and internet access. We maintain fully equipped and operational laboratories, a conference room, a seminar hall, a drug museum, captivating exhibition sections in each corridor, and a pilot plant and medicinal plants garden. Students are trained and encouraged to use sophisticated instruments such as HPLC, FTIR Spectrophotometer, tablet coating machine, operant conditioning chamber, Eliza reader, Motorized Stereotaxic instruments, fear conditioning apparatus, Fluorescence Microscope and an Animal house that complies with CPCSEA guidelines. Adequate ventilation is provided in classrooms and laboratories to ensure student safety. Our library houses a vast collection of over 17,800 books covering a wide range of subjects, national and international journals, and magazines. The digital library is supported by Wi-fi access and access to internationally acclaimed e-journals. Additionally, departmental libraries are available to all PG departments of the institute to facilitate smooth functioning.
SKBCOP is committed to supporting its students in their career endeavors, and we have established a dedicated training and placement cell for this purpose. Our training and placement cell provides students with career counseling, helps identify career paths, and organizes training sessions to prepare them for various job opportunities. We have successfully conducted both on-campus and off-campus interviews with leading pharmaceutical industries such as Lupin, Alkem, Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Cipla, Glaxo SmithKline, IPCA Laboratories, and many more. The training and placement cell also motivates students towards self-employment through interactions and guest lectures by successful entrepreneurs associated with our institute.
Over the course of 25 years, Smt. Kishoritai Bhoyar College of Pharmacy has carved out its identity by adopting innovative practices. Our institution maintains a robust industry-institute interaction through the Pharma HR Society of India—an association comprising HR personnel from various pharmaceutical industries aimed at bridging the gap between industry and academia. We regularly host seminars and guest lectures to address current industrial requirements and professional issues, providing developmental opportunities for our students. Notably, we have organized events like Indian Pharmaceutical congress: 2022, IPSCON 2012: Annual Conference of the Indian Pharmacological Society, MAHAPATICON 2015: State Convention of Pharmacy Teachers of Maharashtra, as well as numerous national and international conferences and Pharma HR summits. These initiatives serve to bridge the gap between industry and academia and provide an excellent platform for discussing employment issues faced by our students, offering innovative solutions. Furthermore, we have actively organized pharmacist counseling programs sponsored by the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council and have trained several pharmacists from across the state.
